Our God in heaven is like a King we must crown,
But to an idol we should never bow down.
Nor may we use God's holy Name,
To swear, nor use that Name in vain.

The Sabbath day-it is God's own
In which we worship HIM alone.
Our parents dear we will obey
If we would live for many a day.

Who kills or steals breaks God's own rule,
Who steals another man's wife is a fool.
While untrue words against a neighbour
Will certainly displease your dear Saviour.

Oh, do not wish that for your sake
You could your neighbour's riches take.
By works we never shall be saved
Nor will our path with ease be paved.

But God has given His only Son,
Who on the cross our salvation won.
So, in love we follow God's commands
And then one day the saved will stand
Before the Father's heavenly throne,
And hear Him say, 'My child, well done.'
