Consistent Bible study from early days. Anne accompanied her boys for years, taking notes from the studies in long hand- typing them during the week. An archive of my bible studies. She held weekly bible studies for many years ( possibly 20 ) in home - Mother was teacher.
A life of prayer. Systematically, earnestly, Anne entreated God.
Her home replaced, yet none can substitute for a life that touched many.

Julie sat and talked about life ( her father with cerebral tumor- helping Saturday morning- and being our secretary for years. My privilege of delivering her 5 children. Mike her grandson-in-law rejoiced to know the Lord - the web site, he launched 10 years ago is drawing many, especially in Russian federation, Ukraine, Switzerland and Singapore.
Fred G sang like an opera singer - magnificent, ‘It Is Well with My Soul’ ( six verses) was superb.
Wednesday: God answers prayer; Peter George playing his first test match for his nation. I prayed for him to take Tendulkar’s wicket as I followed the computer over by over..,. Delight when he removed the off stump of the finest batsman of our era. Praise the Lord. Encouraging.
Roger J rang with news that within 3 weeks a mature pastor from our largest Baptist church at Clovercrest will be the chaplain of the Crows. Years of waiting on God. Numerous approaches to CEO. Crows and commendation of fellows such as Michael and Andrew of football tradition. I have since talked with him, well acquainted with Brandon C ( Power ).
Thursday: Outburst from a helper. You have ‘harassed’ me after a simple proffer of a daily reading book. Sustained attack. I objected to the recurring term, ’harassment’. Minutes went by, eyes flashed a fiery fury, seen only in demon-possession. Every attempt to speak quietly was scorned. Finally, she stormed out of the home.
Friday: My prayer group agreed on the demonic attack, one having had a similar experience. She may not return this week. I was grateful for their encouragement and prayer. Spiritual warfare not empty term. Mother stunned: increased purpose to prevent recurrence.
Saturday, Jon F , Andrew and Sharon took possession of our garden. Jon used his skill on speeding the PC (seconds rather than minutes to waken).
Sharon told how their son was in a horror crash, walking away from it, unharmed. God has Awakened him through this. The other son has fallen in love with a girl from University. Sharon is delighted.
They did a great job - with 3 garbage bins packed . I’ll ask Don B to kindly put them out on the day. We are exhausted. I prepared a simple meal and numerous drinks. Searching discussions over lunch. They deplore secularism of the present day. Tremendous; encouraging.
Dead beat - worth it immensely.
Lord’s Day: Simon returned from K. Spoke after singing to the children, yet preached on Samson/Delilah, obeying Mummy/daddy et al.
Simon told of older men who have influenced him, commending his father Rob as a specialist in Children’s evangelism. Then he mentioned that I had prayed for him when born( my customary response to the miracle of a new-born babe). No father forbad me. This impressed him even as a child that I had prayed for him. It also touched some lives. Shirley. Wife of Trevor A., one of the Saturday morning group, told me how I had delivered her 3 children, ‘This is your legacy.’ One woman kissed my hand. I was deeply moved. Herb/Margaret also. I wanted to share this with you. This church has no place for older members; therefore, it was an innovation.
