Lest his people be confused with teaching of the third Person of the trinity, a pastor refused to preach on this mighty theme. This congregation suffered from disabling deficiencies more than any medical lack. Let's devoutly consider this majestic, heaven-sent Spirit.

The Holy Spirit apparent in Isaiah 11, which reads, 'The spirit of the Lord is upon Him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and of might, the spirit of knowledge, and of the fear of the Lord.' Fulfilled in our dear Saviour's life. Our Lord quoted Isaiah 61 in His memorable first address in the synagogue in Nazareth, when He was expelled from the baffled hearers. ' The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord had anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. He deferred the following which will be fulfilled with His coming in judgment, 'and the day of vengeance of our God.' The Holy Spirit filled, overflowing our beloved Lord, in his wide-spectrum ministry.

When the high priests, Pharisees, and officers schemed to arrest our Lord, He spoke of the coming of the Parakletos, 'In that last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink.' 'He who believes in Me as the scripture has said, Out of his heart (inmost being) shall flow rivers of living water. This He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive,' and then this astonishing explanation that, 'The Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus not yet glorified.' (John 7:37_39) Gethsemane and Golgotha, where He was crucified, must precede the glorifying of our Lord. Then His magnificent resurrection, achieving victory over hell, the grave and satan himself, and His acclaimed ascension to heaven preceded the coming of the blessed Parakletos. When the Father sent the Holy Spirit, He affirmed His beloved Son in achieving His great redemption. We should also freely do so!

Our Lord promised on the eve of Calvary suffering, 'I will pray the Father and He shall give you another Comforter that He may abide with you forever.' (v16) He is the perfect Friend. The amplified new Testament amazingly translates the Parakletos - One called alongside to help, as ADVOCATE, COUNSELLOR, HELPER, FRIEND, INTERCESSOR, STRENGTHENER, STANDBY. These feature the life and ministry of God's Spirit. While He is another Comforter, He is of the same order and eternal life as the Lord Jesus, soon to be translated to glory. Just like HIM.

Our Lord promised, 'I will not leave you orphans or comfortless. I will come to you.' He assured that we should never be abandoned by the Lord. He further declared 'Even spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him.' did our Lord visualise the da Vinci code two thousand years later, when bible truth overcomes fictitious, warped thinking? 'You know Him, for He dwells with you and shall be in you,' reminds us He is the indwelling Spirit. We must recognise HIM for this inner, hidden strength,

Now follows the remarkable assurance that the Lord will write the bible on the frontal cortex, where our memory is stored. In 14:26, 'The Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father shall send in My Name, He shall teach you all things.' During my medical experience in Egypt in WW11, a friend taught me the mystifying types of our Saviour in the Old testament. Mysteries became realities. They opened up the glorious treasures of the word of God.

In Papua New Guinea, Scotty, a miner, deeply taught in the New Testament, drew from memory the imperishable realities of His salvation. He also taught me our triumphant position in our Lord. He shall remind you of all I said to you. Memorise scripture: use the cerebral storehouse the Lord created.
Later, the Lord saved a serviceman, who had no knowledge of the scripture. :Later, Reg Wright studied God's word for 4 hours each morning, marking Bible truth in coloured ink; gold for glory, red for sacrifice, silver for redemption, purple for royalty , green for creation, white for holiness Oh, what a treasure. He recalled each scripture accurately, scattering precious truth as though dispensing diamonds. One of our nation's finest teaching pastors; and mentor to my beloved wife and self.

He will come as COUNSELLOR, for Christ will send the Spirit from the Father, to counter the falsehood and trickery of the Da Vinci code with the Spirit of truth. He proceeds from the Father, depriving heaven of the Holy Spirit for 2000 years since Pentecost. The Rapture of Christ will reunite the Trinity (3 in 1) in glory. All heaven will joyfully celebrate this reunion. He will testify unselfishly of ME.

Our Lord said, in 16:7 'It is expedient that I go away. If not- the Comforter will not come to you. If I depart, I will send Him to you. 'When He is come He will reprove the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. I recall such a verse by verse study: He will reprove of Sin - they do not believe in Me. no belief is the greatest sin. He will convict of Righteousness, because I go to My Father: in the cross, empty tomb, and miraculous resurrection. God was satisfied. Of Judgment, because the prince of this world is judged: Inescapable doom of hell.

In 16:13 'The Spirit of truth will guide into all truth. He will not speak of himself, for He shall speak what He hears.' He is linked intimately with the Father and Son.
'He will show you things to come', opening prophetic truth to comfort us. For example, my dear uneducated grandfather was an-authority on Daniel's prophecy. The Holy Spirit taught him these deep truths. He taught me as a child. I believed.

'He shall glorify Me': the Holy Spirit will extol, acclaim, magnify, celebrate our Lord, which is the highest design in the universe.
1 John 2:1, 'If any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. Here, our victorious Saviour is our heavenly Paraclete.
