DON'T CALL ANYONE BY THAT NAME - EXCEPT MESSIAH HIMSELF,

The following letter was written because of the acclamation of a very successful football coach. Only one Person in all God's universe, the Lord Jesus Christ is entitled to possess that cherished name. HE is Prophet, Priest and King.

Hence the following letter:

Dear Editor, re Title of Messiah for Crows' coach.

Have a go, mate! That special title belongs to only to one Person.

Every Jew knows a thousand Old Testament promises, fulfilled in only one Person. Actually the Messiah is Prophet, Priest and King; Neil Craig would not accept this.

To be the Christian Messiah, he must feed 5,000 men plus women and children
(possibly 20,000) with five barley loaves and two small fish. Neil's team satisfies 50,000 at AAMI, minus the miracle.
He must raise Lazarus from the dead; and heal the lepers with missing fingers and toes, and anaesthetic patches all over. While Neil has transformed and electrified his team, he would not qualify for such a title.
The real Messiah must rise from the dead on the third day and ascend to heaven.
Jesus Christ has no rival. He did.

Why not make him President, Chancellor, or elevate him to the peerage. Lord Neil of the Crows.
He has deserved this recognition. I will applaud it. But not Messiah, please!

WE address our Lord Jesus Christ by His rightful title.

He is our Lord and we worship HIM. Hallelujah.
As Jesus, He is our Saviour from our sin. Praise the Lord.
As the Christ, he is the chosen, the anointed of the Father: our Prophet, Priest, King.
WE cherish the Name that is above every Name.

Should you write to your local press when your Lord is robbed of His title?
