In John 6 the Lord Jesus took a small boy's carefully-guarded lunch of five barley loaves and two small fishes and fed a vast crowd, possibly 20,000 men, women and children. Jesus Christ displayed His divinity: He took the loaves, gave thanks to His Father in heaven, and distributed them to the disciples; and to those sitting down and likewise of the fishes as much as they wanted. When the Lord Jesus spoke of Himself as the I AM, He claimed he was the Jehovah of the Old Testament. Outside the grave of Lazarus, (John 11), He revealed 'I AM the resurrection and the life.' No mere man could claim this, accompanied by the raising of Lazarus after 4 days of decay. He delayed his coming despite urgent calls by Mary and Martha, foreknowing that delay would glorify the Lord. One trillion body cells had decayed, and had collapsed in confusion.

Jesus Christ commanded, 'Lazarus, come forth. He who was bound came forth, bound hand and feet with grave clothes.' Our Lord limited the call to raise one person, lest all who had died in faith would come forth at the Lord's command.

Every brain and spinal cord, liver , heart muscle, lung, kidney and bladder, testes, digestive system, reproductive organs, endocrine organs , muscle, tendon, bone, capsule cells was reconstituted and made alive. One trillion cells were reorganised, recalling that the information in each single cell would fill many total volumes of Encyclopaedia Britannica. Intellectually the magnitude of our Lord's resurrection power staggers us. Man cannot restore one cell. Only the living, omnipotent God can reconstitute a whole person. Remember He will raise His church. Foundations of da Vinci code are undermined: the rumblings are audible. Wait for the crash.

Our Lord claimed, 'I have power to lay it down; I have power to take it again.; this authority I have received of my Father,' which was fulfilled in the resurrection of the Lord of glory. When they discovered grave clothes and head napkin intact, the risen Lord had appeared to His disciples. He spoke to Mary Magdalene, revealing His identity, 'Mary,' and she knew her Lord. He appeared behind closed doors and barred windows to His disciples; and eight days later He asked Thomas to honour his threat and identify the wounds of his Lord. Of course, He is deity. Without carrying a scroll, he gave the world's greatest bible study on the Emmaus road: Ought not Christ (He was the Messiah) to have suffered these things and to enter His glory?' And then He opened the Scriptures, 'Beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded to them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself. Their hearts were broken and heavy: their feet leaden; progress slow, giving time to absorb the unlimited truth of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Old Testament scriptures.

Our Lord would have minutely studied the 22nd Psalm and the 69th and the unchallengeable 53rd Isaiah, which each relate to His sacrificial death on the cross. If our Lord commenced in Genesis, He would have spoken of the 'Seed of the woman (His virgin birth) bruising the head of the serpent', His total triumph over the forces of evil. He would have reminded them of Noah's ark, a picture of the great salvation He had accomplished when He cried,'It is finished'. Surely the Lord would have reminded them of Abraham offering Isaac on Mt. Moriah, a graphic picture of His substitutionary death for us, His own. Only the eternal God in risen life could reverently open the Scriptures.

How long did the Lord Jesus spend teaching in Exodus that He is the Passover Lamb, sacrificed for us: that He is the manna, provided each morning six days out of seven through the wilderness; and He is the Rock that flowed with life-giving water in barren wastes; He is the Shekinah glory, exhibited in the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night. Oh, such a bible study could only be given by the eternal, infinite, all-wise (omniscient) God. The da Vinci code tower is self-destructing.

What mere man could change Saul's vicious character, supporting the murderers at Stephen's martyrdom, and guarding their clothes. No man could oust Saul's hateful desire to kill and imprison Christians at distant Damascus: and fill the same life with the absolute, tender love of the Lord. Only the living Son of God could exchange a venomous nature for a soul-winning, missionary heart.
Saul's supernatural conversion was a miracle of the eternal, divine Son.
