The author of the da Vinci code has stated that the divinity of our Lord Jesus was established only at Nicene in 325 AD. My Bible tells me that Jesus Christ's was divine, by the miracles he performed. Let's examine His marvellous acts.

Jesus first miracle was at the wedding of Cana of Galilee (John 2) when He turned water (H2O) into grape juice (fructose C6 H12 O6). The 6 water pots contained 120 -180 gallons, no trifling incident. I love John's comment, 'He manifested His glory (His true eternal nature) and His disciples believed in Him'. He was a divine, miracle worker: turning inorganic water into complex organic chemical, Fructose.
Water is seeping into the flagship.

Our Lord Jesus performed a second sign (miracle) when He came out of Jerusalem to Galilee' (John 4:54). 'A noble man implored Jesus to come down and heal his son, who was at the point of death.' When the Lord said, 'Go your way, your son lives, the man believed the word the Lord spoke to him, and he went his way.' His servants met the nobleman on his way home with the joyous word, 'Your son lives.' On inquiry, 'They told him when the fever left him, 'precisely as the Lord had foretold. His power was greater than an antibiotic: he was the divine Healer. Not only did the nobleman believe in Jesus' divine nature, but his entire family trusted the Lord, using that precious, reverent name. Flagship is taking more water.

Our Lord revealed His omniscience (all-knowledge) to Simon Peter and his fishing partners, as in Luke 5. When the fishermen were commanded to 'Let down your nets for a draught,' they testily replied, 'We have toiled all night and caught nothing.' 'Nevertheless, at Your word I will let down the net.' Peter, a professional fisherman, with partial understanding, followed the tides, observed currents, and sought the ideal fishing grounds for the 153 varieties of fish in the Sea of Galilee.

The Lord Jesus, the Oceanographer, showed that HE knew all about the inland sea, for 'When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.' 'The boats began to sink.' 'When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, 'Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.' Peter knew Jesus Christ was perfect man, yet as God, omniscient; that He was holy, and Peter tainted with sin; and was truly Lord. The da Vinci flagship is shipping more water.

I had a leprosy ward in South East Asia with 10 lepers. Luke 17:11 tells how our Lord Jesus healed that number of lepers. Some bore the gruesome lion-face of leprosy, some had lost digits from their deformed fingers and toes. Some had nerve lesions, so that their muscles were paralysed, their voices muffled. Some had claw hands and feet, unable to hold a pencil or any tool or fine instrument; some had foul-smelling, offensive ulcers. My patients slowly responded to sulphone treatment, while listening to Gospel recordings. This contrasted with the miraculous healing of God's precious Son. 'As they went, in response to His command, they were healed'.
Contrast modern efforts of healing with what our Lord accomplished. Multiple leprosy therapy can cleanse the blood stream within days: His immediate. Surgical transplantation of tendons will release the claw hands or feet, with prolonged physiotherapy before and after: His immediate. Protective footwear or gloves shielded hands and feet for the modern leprosy patient: His immediate. Only the eternal Son of God in the person of the Man, Christ Jesus, could heal and transform 10 lepers instantly. I believe my bible. Holes widen in the flagship, da Vinci code.

No medical condition baffled our dear Lord, the Healer. The medical cause of paralysis (often complex) was not stated in Matthew 9, where 'They brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed'. When our Lord saw their faith (in HIM), he said to the paralytic, 'Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven'. An incendiary bomb to the scribes, who accused our Lord of blasphemy'. HE rightly claimed to be the Lord. Of course he showed that: 'He knew their thoughts, because he was divine. He observed evil in their hearts'. They provoked Him to ask, 'Which is easier, to say, 'your sins are forgiven you' or to say, 'arise and walk but that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins.' He showed such miraculous power,' He said to the paralytic (no one else), 'Arise, take up your bed and walk.' and he arose and departed to his own home (to delight his dear wife and children and parents) with all the wonder- working of his God.

His death and resurrection in atoning for sin, and releasing power are implied to heal paralysis, restore muscles and tendons and blood and nerve supply. The crowd was electrified, for 'they marvelled; and glorified GOD who had given such power to men.' Especially to Jesus Christ, the Son of Man. Yesterday scribes attacked the true Being of the Christ of God. Today they do the same. Note a heaven-to-earth missile has struck the flagship of unbelief. Flames and whoosh of torrents pour in.

Because this Jesus is divine, whom they challenged at the time of his ministry, He would show His all- power (omnipotence) in the physical realm. Exactly what I experienced on the Sea of Galilee, where I was caught in a ferocious storm with some of my hospital colleagues during WW11. The authorities sent a powerful launch to rescue us. Jesus Christ is more powerful than any human device.

Matthew 8 records 'Suddenly, a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with waves. But the perfect Man was asleep. 'Then His disciples came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, 'Lord, save us! We are perishing.' He said to them 'Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?' Then he showed His supreme power over His creation, 'He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea. And there was a great calm.' Understandably, 'the men marvelled, saying, 'Who this can be, that even the winds and sea obey HIM.' They knew. The Creator Jesus Christ assumed complete control of His glorious handiwork. Trust HIM in every crisis.

The da Vinci flagship has been holed, flooded, missiled and is floundering. The precious Word of God reveals the Lord Jesus as the Son of God and unchanging.
